How often is the Google Toolbar pagerank updated?

One of the fun aspects of running a blog, or just about any type of website, is to watch your PageRank increase. Getting a high PageRank requires hard work, a lot of content written, and of cause traffic and backlinks.

Sadly, PageRank updates are far between, and when they finally occur, it can still be hard to tell. You will likely read about it on Forums and Blogs when it occurs, and when that happens, then its time to keep an eye on your own PageRank.

Update frequency

The update frequency depends on your content, if you have written bad words like: shit and ass, your PageRank quite simply won't update.

Ok that was a joke, ha ha, how funny. oK LETS calm ourselves now. Matt cutts has previously stated, that PR updates happens roughly every three or four month. So far between they are!

PageRank not important

The toolbar only shows an outdated value, so its hard to know the true values. To many website owners, PageRank is merely a nice number to look at, and can give a feeling of achievement.

What matters is the position of pages in the SERPs. Unlike a simple number on a toolbar, the clicks they get, is something that really can be felt.
