AutoIt StringIsLower

Used to check if a string only consists of lowercase characters.

Edited: 2015-01-15 09:10

The StringIsLower function is used to check if a string contains lowercase only characters, and will return false, if just a single uppercase character is present in the string.

If the string contains punctuation, digits or whitespace characters, then this function will not work, and simply return 0. You can instead use regular expressions, if the string contains such characters.

This function accepts just one parameter, which is the string you want to be checked.

StringString to be checked. Can be given as a variable, or passed directly as a string.

StringIsLower example

Using StringLower is quite easy, simply follow the example included below. In the following, we will pass the string parameter directly.

If StringIsLower("abcFoo") Then
MsgBox(0, "Result:", "The string contained only lowercase characters.")
MsgBox(0, "Result:", "The string contained at least one uppercase character.")
