The CSS unicode-bidi property is used in conjunction with the direction property to change the direction of text.

Possible Values

  • normal (Default)
  • embed
  • inherit
  • bidi-override
body {
  unicode-bidi: bidi-override;

Inherited? NO!

Unicode-bidi example

The unicode-bidi property is used in combination with the direction property, and can used by setting unicode-bidi to the value of bidi-override while the direction property should be given a value of either rtl or ltr (right to left and left to right). The below inline-style example shows exactly how it can be used:

<div style="direction:rtl;unicode-bidi:bidi-override;">This text is written from the right-to-left.</div>

Which will look like:

This text is written from the right-to-left.
